West Hills occupies the far southwest tip of the San Fernando Valley, where the residential grid runs out against the Santa Susana and Simi Hills and meets the county line with Bell Canyon and Calabasas. Honest Maids drives out to every part of it. That reaches the ranch houses and two story homes along Vanowen Street and Sherman Way, the family blocks around Shadow Ranch Park, the tracts that branch off Fallbrook Avenue and Platt Avenue, and the hillside properties that climb toward the ridge above Valley Circle Boulevard. Our base in Reseda sits a straight shot east along Roscoe Boulevard, which keeps a West Hills visit close to home for us rather than a long haul across the county.
What sets this corner apart is scale and setting. Lots run large out here, the homes were mostly built between the 1960s and the 1980s as single family ranch and two story houses, and many of them carry the square footage that a growing family fills. The land bakes dry through the summer against the hills, so window glass hazes over and outdoor dust drifts in wherever a door is left open onto the yard. We shape each visit around the actual house rather than a fixed block of hours, and we settle both the schedule and the price with you before anything lands on the calendar.
