Northridge sits in the north central San Fernando Valley, laid out on the wide flat grid that runs between Reseda Boulevard and Balboa Boulevard and up through Nordhoff Street, Parthenia Street, and Devonshire Street. Honest Maids works this whole area. We clean the postwar single family homes that fill most of the neighborhood, the roomier ranch style houses on the streets north of the university, and the student rentals and apartment blocks packed in around California State University Northridge. We are only a few minutes south in Reseda, so a Northridge job stays close to home for us instead of turning into a cross town haul.
Two features of Northridge shape the cleaning more than anything else. The first is the university. CSUN and the Northridge Fashion Center anchor the middle of the city, and the housing around campus turns over on the academic calendar, which keeps move out cleaning busy every spring and summer. The second is the age of the housing. Much of Northridge was built in the decades after the war, and many of those homes still carry original single pane windows, older tile, and grout that has seen years of foot traffic, so the work rewards attention to the surfaces a quick pass skips. Northridge is also widely remembered as the center of the 1994 earthquake, and a lot of its homes were repaired or rebuilt in the years that followed. We plan each visit around the actual house rather than a fixed block of time, and we settle the scope and the price with you before we book anything.
